Your Guide to Designing an Amazing Entryway

by Carrie Fitzwater September 21, 2017

How to Design Your Entryway

It's that time of year! Kids are back at school, weather is cooling off (except here in Texas), and it's time to get the house back into shape. Fall is a time for carpools and dinner parties, and your entryway needs to be a stunner! I created this easy guide to designing an entryway, and even found some pretty products that are sure to make a statement the second your guests walk in the door.

faux floral arrangement

Flowers in an entry way are a must, but it's always hard to remember to water your plants. This faux hydrangea flower arrangement from Neiman Marcus is a perfect example of looking fresh, without having to keep up with the work.

console table

Love this minimalist look from Wisteria! This Bone Inlay Console would make the perfect entryway table to place some accessories and a little key bowl. Your guests would definitely notice this when they walk into your home!

circular mirror

I like the idea of having a round mirror in the entryway versus a rectangular one, and I love the gold detail on this one. This is the Round Mirror with Greek Key Detail from Williams Sonoma

ottoman
Sometimes a simple ottoman is all you need! Or it could fit nicely under a console table. This one from One Kings Lane with a trendy, modern style.

mirror tray

Simple and chic, this Fishs Eddy Gilded Cafe Mirror Tray from West Elm would look great under a couple finishing accessories on top of a console. An easy way to organize your entryway table with a stylish look.

accessories

How cool and modern are these accessories? These are the Small Selenite Blossom on Stand from Horchow. Another great alternative to real flowers, and these decorative pieces make a sleek yet understated statement.

cordless table lamp

Lighting is a must in an entryway. When you want to hide those pesky cords from ruining your design, Modern Lantern comes in handy with their cordless lamps. This Jynn rechargeable lamp in antique brass is a new one of ours, and it is sure to impress your guests. Wait until you escort them out at night to light the way back to their cars!

Thanks for listening, and hope you found some inspiration!
