As summer ends and seasonal weather starts to set in, the warm feelings of autumn comes right with it. Fall tends to have the same personality and characteristics each year in our homes: nostalgia, family, warmth, and tradition. We love bringing these feelings to our homes with vintage and old world inspired trends that are often popular in home design and décor around this time of year. We have the usual “go to” holiday decor changes we make as well: leaves, burnt orange colorations, and earth tones. However, if you’re looking for something unexpected and new, while creating the same nostalgic feeling, you’ll want to dive into this trend. Copper is subtle, classic, and the most under-appreciated of the metallics. It’s presence in any room design, whether large or small, bring warmth and dimensionality. Vintage cans and containers are an easy find at any antique store local to you. Filling them with everyday items will bring a traditional holiday feel to your kitchen, office, or living room.
